Why do I see analog* all over the Triad website?
Throughout the Triad site we use the special word “ analog* “ to mean “analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits”.
Triad designs and manufactures integrated circuits, ICs for short. ICs can be lumped into four major categories of digital, analog, mixed-signal and RF. At Triad we make ICs in all four of these categories.
We make some digital only ICs. Lots of companies make digital ICs.
Our specialty and focus is combining analog and digital circuits onto the same IC. The industry refers to chips that have a mix of both analog and digital circuits as mixed-signal ICs.
When talking about what we do, Instead of saying “analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits” (a mouth-full) we simply say analog* (pronounced “analog star”) because to us, analog excellence is where we shine and analog is the star of the show.
